HONG-CHA Cylinder | Black Tea
A semi-fermented tea using Hadong tea leaves cultivated in May. Unlike western black tea, korean traditional black tea has a yellow color with a deep flavour. It helps you warm your body and is excellent for prevention of Osteoporosis and aging.
Black tea contains a group of polyphenols that have antioxidant properties. Consuming antioxidants may help improve your immune system. In addition, tannins also have a therapeutic effect on intestinal illnesses and help decrease digestive activity.
Black tea has been a longtime favorite winter tea for europeans due to the perceived health benefits. We especially recommend the Black Tea for those who are sensitive to air contamination.
Properly stored, tea will generally stay at best quality for about 24 months, stored in airtight containers and kept refrigerated. For opened packages, we recommend consuming the tea within 6 months.
To brew, add two teaspoons (2-3g) of tea to 300ml of boiling water and steep for 3-4 minutes. It can be re-steeped up to 2-3 times depending on how strong you like your tea. For Iced, go through the same method with slighty less water.
