Do not wash, use soap, dry clean, iron, or tumble dry waxed cotton. With time, the wax may begin to wear off, but you can rewax it with a sponge, some water, and a wax tin.

You can keep your waxed cotton clean by airing and spot cleaning with water whenever you have a stain. Airing helps in getting rid of the odour, and you can do this by leaving your clothing outside overnight.
