Plasticana is dedicated to reducing the reliance on oil-based plastics by substituting part of it with renewable carbon from photosynthesis, specifically hemp. The hemp used in Plasticana products complies with European legislation. Additionally, the sugars naturally found in hemp give the transparent plastic a caramel hue when heated, eliminating the need for petroleum-based pigments.
