P.NINA

P.NINA is an ongoing sculpture project by Peyton Sandler.

The wearable shell sculptures are created from recycled precious metals.

The current project “Venus Descent” explores the planet Venus’s current descent/ascent orbit and the paralleling historical legend explaining this planetary cycle.

“Venus Descent” explores astronomy, ancient mythology and field research self-studies in botany, conchology and meditation.

Pieces from this collection are formed from recycled sterling silver. The use of shell forms and precious metals merges the stars and the water.

Textures, markings and patterning on each P.NINA Venus Descent object holds environmental information which is embraced in this study. Enjoy this study of shell, planet and myth, and the homage to the goddess and planet Venus.
