Iron Candleholder | 1-5 Monme

A hand-forged iron candleholder crafted by the blacksmiths of Jizai Kōbō in Uchiko, designed for Japanese candle sizes 1–5 monme.

Each piece is crafted from a single steel bar heated to around 1,000°C and shaped by hand using traditional techniques like hammering and flattening.

The result is a form with an unexpected elegance and fluidity for iron. With use, its surface develops a richer sheen.
