Cape Town-based ceramicist Jade Paton fell in love with the craft after taking her first pottery class in 2018, applying her university degree in sculpture and fine art to create contemporary clay pieces inspired by ancient vessels, architecture and natural forms.

She shapes each design entirely by hand – ensuring it evolves organically to develop a raw, uneven surface texture and unique characteristics – before experimenting with glaze and colour, making each piece unique.

Expect an array of matte and glossy earth-toned objects that double up as rustic works of art and vases for the home.
